Mike has been off work all week with us and he couldn't have chosen a better week!! He got to enjoy things that I take for granted such as picking the girls up and going to Molly's gymnastics class in the middle of the day. We have not had any specific plans all week and it has really been nice.
Today was our busy day!! Mike took Maggie to school while Molly and I got ready. We dropped Molly off and then went to Maggie's class for her Christmas party. They shared their party with Mrs. Bests' class, which was fun.. Our class was in charge of the crafts which meant all I had to do was send in a package of small brown bags. The mom's from the other class were in charge of food. They fixed a ton of pancakes and 8 lbs. of bacon which was all gone!! The kids had so much fun and the part they enjoyed the most was their book exchange. Each child brought in a wrapped book and they seperated the boys and the girls. Each group sat in a circle and as Mrs. Best read a book, each time she said the word elf they passed the book to the next person. When the book was over, they opened the book they were holding. Maggie was a little disappointed because she got a halloween book, but somehow she convinced Giuliana to trade with her and she was all smiles when I picked her up and she had a Hannah Montana book.

We checked Maggie and Anabella out at 11:45 and we arrivd at Dollywood right at 1:00. It was a PERFECT day!! The weather was not too hot and not too cold. There were no lines except for Polar Express. Molly was finally past 42 inches, so she was able to ride everything the big girls could ride and she loved it!! We truly couldn't have had more fun..

Molly's innocence is so precious. When we rode Polar Express, she asked where Rudolph was at and then proceeded to answer her own question. She said he must have been a baby and wasn't big enough to fly yet. Then when we went to see Santa, she ran up to Mike and told him she couldn't remember what was on her Wish List. He reminded her and she was so excited to crawl up into his lap and tell him.. I do not think Maggie ever truly felt the "magic" of Christmas the way that Molly does.

Molly also asked me today if she could invite Anabella to her birthday party because Maggie wouldn't have anyone to play with. She may be a handful at times to deal with, but in the end, she has a heart of gold. She is so compassionate!!
The other night, Molly got creative and wanted to wear the Food City bag.. Mike and I decided that if times were tough next year at Halloween that we would just let her go as "white trash".
