Horseback Riding at the Beach

We may have gotten rained out the first time, but it was worth the wait. The kids had so much fun. It is definitely a memory that they will not soon forget. Maggie and Granny rode on Cocoa, Molly and I rode on Dillon, Cameron rode Dudley and Bubba and Meghan were on Excalibur. Excalibur was the horse that had to be the leader. Dillon wanted to be right up beisde him and was boyfriend to Cocoa. Dudley liked to move from the back to the front of the pack. Maggie was terrified at the thought of getting on the horse and she really wanted to ride with her Mommy. Unfortunately, they only had two buddy saddles, so Molly had to ride in he saddle with me. The ride lasted an hour and it was extremely hot, but all of the sweat was greatly enjoyed. The ride was on a sandy road through a wildlife viewing area, but we did not see any wildlife which was perfectly okay with Maggie. They told us that they have seen deer, bears and bobcats in the past. Maggie got worried and told us that the bobcat wasn't afraid of the horse in the movie Flicka!! Granny's horse got a little too close to mine and as I went back in front of her, Dillon pooped on Granny's leg - it made for a great laugh at Granny's expense. The owner was very prepared. He had water on every horse and he took pictures along the ride and will email them to us later. It was a great way to end the week!!
