Dollywood

The weather men stink around here!! They predicted 68 degrees, but it was really cold when we arrived at Dollywood. The girls were very excited to be there and they weren't effected by the temperatures. It wasn't very crowded, so we were able to ride everything without much of a wait. Molly was very thrilled to discover that she was big enough to ride the scrambler!! She longs to be 48 inches tall. That is the magical height at Dollywood that allows you to ride everything, including roller coasters. Maggie had a first today as well.. She got to ride the swings solo for the first time. Until you reach the magical 48, you have to ride in a double swing with an adult. She was very excited to get to swing alone.. Maggie refuses to ride any of the roller coasters now, so I guess I will have to wait until Molly grows taller. We were able to see the Ireland show - Rythm of the Dance. Molly fell asleep as soon as it started (so did Granny), Papaw complained the whole time, and Maggie and I enjoyed every minute of it. Their ability to move their feet so fast is amazing. Maggie was impressed by how fast they could sneak out on the stage and be there for the next dance. We left around 5:00 and everyone was worn out.. It was a fun day (especially after it warmed up)..
