We left on Saturday, July 14th at 7:00. Our goal was 6:00, but in the long run, it worked out for the best. The kids did great in the car and both of them slept (Molly more then Maggie). We got on the island at 2:30 and our villa was still being cleaned. We had to hang out in the heat for about a half hour before we got to go inside and check out our new home away from home. This was by far the closest place we have ever had to the beach and the pool was right outside our bedroom door. Mike stayed with the kids while Cacki and I made a run to the grocery store and managed to beat the crowds.
On Sunday - Friday....the days all went like this!! We got up -the kids always got up and went searching for Cacki before Mommy was ready to face the world. We would eat breakfast and chill out in front of the tv for a little while. Then we would start gathering our beach stuff and would head out the door around 10:00. Each day our beach outing got a little later. Molly was always the first to want to go home. She was tired and over the sand. However, she loved the ocean this trip. And if your distracted her, she would quit complaining about being outside. Maggie enjoyed digging holes and body surfing. She has mastered that skill!! Molly was so proud that her Daddy bought her a boogy board of her own - just her size, but she refused it use it. We weren't allowed to leave it at home though. Our schedule got so out of sorts.. Molly would typically eat lunch between 2:00-3:00 and then take a three hour nap. One night I didn't get her back to sleep until 11:00.

Monday night we went to listen to Greg Russell with the Pack's. Maggie and Sydney loved every minute of it. Molly enjoyed it, but she liked walking back and forth across the stage to sit by mommy and then by Maggie.

On Tuesday, Robin and the kids joined us at the beach. Maggie enjoyed getting to see her cousins and was proud to introduce them to the Pack kids. That night we tried to make it to the fireworks at Shelter Cove. We rode with the Pack's and had to park a million miles away. To make a long story short, we got to a point where we could see them and they lasted a whopping 7 minutes.
Friday morning we took Maggie kayaking to see dolphins. She was very skeptical at first, but once we assured her the kayak wouldn't flip, she was anxious to go. We had to be there at 6:45 AM!! I got up at 5:50 and was going to take a shower, but before I could get in, Maggie appeared in my room. I think she was afraid we would leave her at home. Then before we could get out the door at 6:30, Molly joined us upstairs. I think she had a sneaky suspicion she was going to get left behind. She cried a little, but quickly got over it.
