Long Weekend

Maggie was out of school today for a long weekend and what a fun day we had. The girls started the morning off snuggled up in bed with me at 8:00 with their waffles and chocolate milk (on my clean sheets). Then they made their way (to every room in the house as Mike would put it) with their imagination. Their table is in the living room with a blanket over it for tent/picnic purposes, hairbows all over playing beautician. Their time together gets better and better. They are finally able to play for long periods of time without fighting with each other!!

We snuck off to the mall at 11:00 to meet Granny for lunch and to play in the new play area.. Maggie was a little sad at first. She said she missed Keizer and Great-Grandpapaw, but I think it may have had a little to do with being the oldest kid in the play area. I know that sure makes me sad!! Seems like just yesterday she was the toddler playing at the Knoxville Center Mall play area. Now she seems so big in comparison. Molly had a great time.. Maggie perked up when Shelby arrived - a classmate of hers. They played tag and chase with a little boy they didn't know. Of course Maggie swears she doesn't want to "play with boys", but secretly loves it..

Maggie rode home with Granny and Molly cried the whole way home "Granny's car". She officially doesn't want to be left out from anything. If Big Sis is doing it, so is she!! They ended up staying at Granny and Papaws after we ate some take out from Chili's. Mommy and Daddy got to sneak out and go see Music & Lyrics. We were surprised to run into David and Mitzi at the theater and got to sit with them.

We brought Grace (the fish) home to babysit for Cacki last night. We may have traumatized her a bit. Her fish bowl flipped over on the hill leading up to our house and she managed to stay in the bowl. However, she hasn't eaten all day. I hope tomorrow brings better luck.. Cacki and Grandbob are in Chattanooga. I hope she is just missing her conversations with them :-)
