It has been an exciting two days of volleyball!! Maggie's tournament started yesterday at 4:00 against the pink team. They lost the first match and pulled out a victory in the next two matches. They played again at 6:00 again the Ultra-Violet team and once again lost the first match and won the next two. They kept us on the edge of our seats. They had to be back on the court at 3:00 today to play the Ultra-Violets again and this time they were not able to come out with a victory. They beat us at 3:00 and 5:00 :-(.. They were very equal in skill, but the Ultra-Violets simply wanted it more than the Sharkrays! They played with so much more enthusiasm then our team did!! The Sharkrays finished the season in 2nd place!! Not too bad! Maggie has come so far in two seasons. She started in the spring unable to get a serve over the net. She is now able to serve consistently and return a serve back over when it comes her way. She has truly found a sport that she is great at and loves playing!
Friday night was spent at home. Maggie invited Gracie over for a sleepover and Chase spent the night with Molly. The girls all played well together and they enjoyed sleeping on the air mattresses on the living room floor!
Saturday was a much needed lazy day!! We just hung around the house until it was time for volleyball and then we went to Jerry & Jenny's to watch Alabama beat up on UT. Glad we sold our tickets and made $300 - that is more enjoyable than watching the game!!
This morning Jerry and I took the kids to church while Jenny and Mike played tennis. Then Mike spent some time on the courts with Molly and Maggie while I went for a 20 mile ride! It was an early to bed night for the girls and hopefully everyone will be rested in the morning.
