This bear and her three cubs almost got to have Miley for lunch!!
Mom and Dad had just returned from walking Miley and they had ran into this Mama Bear and her three cubs.. Dad was showing us the picture he had captured on his cell phone when I saw them walking right in front of our cabin. Mike started opening the blinds when my Dad had the brilliant idea to open the front door.. Miley instantly darted out the door to go check out the bears!! Dad went flying out behind her trying to save her from being eaten.. Luckily she was smart enough to run under the van for protection which left Dad face to face with the bear with no dog in between them.. Everyone was screaming for either Miley or for Dad.. It was insane!! I managed to grab Miley and held onto her while we are proceeded to the deck where we could enjoy seeing them from a comfortable distance. Molly was the only one that got to enjoy seeing the bears. The rest of the kids were downstairs locked in their little world of play..
We have had a wonderful time in the mountains and I will post more information and pictures later!!
