Special Time With Cacki (and Grandbob)

I am not really sure what makes kids excited about some things and nervous to the point of almost missing out about others.. That's Maggie...She loves life, she loves to have fun, just don't throw anything new her way!! Cacki picked the girls up on Sunday morning and Maggie was almost in tears and ready to stay home because she was nervous.. Cacki was taking them to the campground to spend the night!! Molly was thrilled beyond words. She had packed a purse and picked out a blanket - there was no stopping her!! Maggie was nervous about meeting new kids and about spending the night without me being up there. I knew if we could get her in the car the rest of the day would be fine. Cacki's neighbor has two of her grandkids in town and she was going to bring them to the campground to play and swim. It took a little while for them to warm up to each other, but in the end, Maggie had a blast playing with Chloe and Chase. Molly wasn't feeling 100%, so she ended up falling asleep by the pool. The girls got to choose which bed they wanted to sleep on in the camper and they slept most of the night without invading Cacki's bed.

While the kids are away, the parents will REST!!! Mike and I enjoyed laying on the couch and watching Titanic (three hours of undisturbed television). Then we floated in the pool for two hours without getting splashed!! We hated to get out of the pool, but we knew we needed to take advantage of being able to go eat at Bonefish Grill while the kids were gone. We had a delicious dinner and then Mike got his wish...I went to see Batman with him. It was a good movie, but it was very long. It was 11:00 by the time we got home. I have to admit, as much as I love quiet time, I truly missed my kids not running around and playing in the pool.

Daddy took a day off on Monday so we could all go play at Splash Country. Cacki met us at Splash Country with the girls. We played hard from 10:00 until 4:00. The girls enjoyed riding all of the rides with Cacki and Daddy and they prepared them for every turn and splash!! Cotton Candy, icees, mini melts...there wasn't much sugar the girls missed out on!! The girls slept all the way home and Maggie woke up in the world od snot with Molly!! Hopefully it will quickly pass.

Today we have spent the day running errands and getting things done that Daddy cannot usually find time to do. We are all getting ready to go float in the pool and be chased by two little minnows!!
