Last night the girls had a great time at Liza Moz. They painted, laughed and listened to music!! All of the girls chose either a cat or a dog and they each had their own very unique way of painting it. Molly sat at the table with the boys and painted a fish in her own "Molly style". She didn't need help choosing colors or painint, she is a big girl in her mind!! It took them about an hour to paint and then we had cake and opened presents. Speaking of cakes, the last time I was in charge of a cake for the soccer party, they didn't even make it. This time we show up at Wal-Mart to pick up Maggie's pink and lime green guitar to find it adorned with Hannah Montana. Maggie was not a happy camper. She wanted a plain guitar because her theme was Camp Rock. The lady finally sold her on keeping it by telling her that there was lip gloss in the small guitar.. SOLD!! Maggie loves lip gloss!! Next time there is a cake involved, I am not in charge of ordering it!! After the party, I loaded my car with 5 silly girls with gigantic pixie sticks into my car. They screamed, laughed and acted silly all the way home. Maggie wasn't fired up about swimming, but once she saw that everyone else was putting on a bathing suit, she figured she may as well follow suit. The girls all got in the pool and had diving board competitions with Julia as the judge. As the darkness fell upon them, Daddy turned on the light in the pool and they went to work decorating the pool with a rainbow of colors around the edge. I was so happy that it didn't rain so we could see the final outcome this morning. They did it the hard way, one crayon at a time. Each time they finished a color, they would swim back to the ladder and get another color. It was a time consuming, energy wasting project, but the outcome was very cute!! The girls put on their pajamas when they came inside and got busy singing and dancing downstairs. I popped them some popcorn and got their bed ready on the floor in the living room. We painted fingernails at 10:45 and then they watched one episode of Hannah Montana before crashing very quickly at 11:30.. They all slept sound until 9:00 this morning.
We had yummy cinnamon rolls for breakfast and they have played nonstop since they finished. Annabella went home around noon and Maddie, Julia and Maggie enjoyed playing the rest of the afternoon. Melissa and Erica brought over the rest of the kids and they swam, played and chased each other with popcorn and panties :-).. Maggie invited everyone to join us at Wasabi's for dinner, so they rushed home to change out of the swim suits so they could meet us around 6:00. We told a little fib and put our name on the wait list before the McCay's actually arrived and they called our name before they got there, so they bumped us to the bottom of the list. It wasn't too bad and Maggie had a lot of fun having all of her friends with her at dinner. Maggie and Molly can put down some Japanese food - I guess they get that from their Daddy!!
This post is late because my internet was down and we have been crazy busy since Friday!! I think all in all, Maggie had a GREAT 7th birthday!! I love you, Maggie!!
