Monday at the Beach

Yesterday morning started just like any other morning, slow and relaxing.. We made it to the beach by 9:30 and stayed until 1:00. That was just long enough for me to get red in all of my white spots!! Molly warmed up to the water just enough to run in and get her feet wet with the bribe of a gumball. I do not know what has possessed her to be so afraid of the ocean. We all had fun digging in the sand. Papaw created a turtle reserve and we considered putting out a bucket and collecting money for our Save The Turtle Foundation. We figured we would be able to help pay for our dinner at Margaritaville!! We cleaned up, ate lunch, prepared our breakfast casserole and then headed to Broadway at the Beach. We didn't get to go on Sunday night because of the storm.. We headed straight for Margaritaville to make reservations for dinner at 4:00.. We had a three hour wait!! We did some shopping, searched for a place to get Maggie's hair wrapped and then ended up at Build-A-Bear without enough time to get their bears finished. They totally missed the experience because we were in such a hurry. The sky opened up and it was lightening and thundering and pouring down rain when we walked out of Build-A-Bear. Of course Margaritaville was on the other side and at the other end of the park.. We ran and made occasional stops here and there. Maggie was petrified and was sure we were going to cause her to be struck by lightening. We made it there only to find that we had missed our reservation, so we had to wait another 30 minutes. Dinner was good, but a little over priced. Their strawberry margarita was sooooo sour!! Granny got a strawberry daiquiri and it was yummy!! Papaw had to go back to the condo early, so we all squeezed into my van and headed back to the condo at 9:45. Cameron was so tired, he fell asleep on the ride home. Molly took a nap in her stroller, so she was still going strong!! As we crawled into bed, Maggie's need for Daddy kicked in. She buried her head in my tummy and told me "I miss my Daddy".. After a quick phone conversation, she was ready for bed. She didn't make a peep while she laid there with her new friend Brook!!
